Pioneer “One Vision” Video

This was a project I was part of when I worked at the IONA Group. It was for Pioneers annual all employee meeting. There was a team of about 7 of us working on this project. It was a last minute project. (As in the client dropped a “Oh by the way, we need this in 3 days, sort of bomb on us). But we powered through the weekend to deliver this and got it done and the client was thrilled. Anyway, I was involved in a lot of different aspects of this project. I went from being the camera operator, to a hand model, then to capturing footage, it was all over the place. Also, I did quite a bit of the editing of the video, and also helped out with the compositing. Overall it was great experience working with a tight deadline and delivering a great finished product.

 

Rack Room Shoes Commerical #2

This was yet another commercial for Rack Room Shoes that we did in class as an editing exercise. Again, this footage was from an actual commercial that aired and somehow Bob Jacobs (The professor) got his hands on it and copied it onto Beta tape from a 2nd or 3rd generation copy. The premise of the commercial was “Shoes for Business …and pleasure,” and this is what I came up with. The music in this piece is: Okkervil River - Unless it Kicks.

This was a personal project that I took on with 3 friends at school for the Apple Insomnia Film Fesitval. The contest was to write, produce, and edit a movie within 24 hours. Apple gives you a list of things you have to use in the short film. (This is to try and discourage planning too much.) We all had a great time doing this project and I think it turned out all right. All of us contributed in every way to put this together. We shot it on an Canon HV20, with a Red Rock Film adapter, that we got from Brett Noe (a Professor at Bradley and a past Co-worker at Iona).

 

Rack Room Shoes Commercial #1

This was a commercial for Rack Room Shoes. This was real footage provided to us as part of the class. The beta tape we digitized this from looked like the 3rd time it had been copied and was in pretty bad shape, but it didnt really matter seeing as it was just an editing exercise. What we had to go on was the tag line, “Smart Shoes, Dumb Boyfriend.” So I cut it accordingly and added some music: The Fiery Furnaces - Here Comes the Summer to be exact.

COM 335 - Introduction to Video: Field Production

This is a project I did sometime in 2006 for a class in my then Electronic Media concentration.
(I originally came to Bradley and declared an Electronic Media or “Radio/TV” major, then added Multimedia, then took all of the production classes that EM offered and dropped the EM major my senior year.) I was just really getting the hang of video production and editing when I completed it. I think its a funny concept and a light-hearted video, so I decided to put it up for a laugh. Enjoy!
